Job summary

LiDestri Foods, Inc. is seeking a logistics professional to manage scheduling for outbound shipments, inbound materials, and transfers. You will coordinate with customers, brokers, and internal teams, ensuring orders are fulfilled timely and accurately.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail, with responsibilities spanning daily shipping schedules, rate research, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 3 years of experience in logistics and/or order entry preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics, transportation and distribution.
• Excellent customer/vendor relations and communication skills; multitasking and organization.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook; Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outbound shipments of finished goods and inbound raw materials.
• Coordinate with customers, brokers, sales operations, warehousing, and production scheduling to meet orders.
• Maintain outbound shipping schedules for all facilities.
• Manage freight rates and accessorial charges for approval and auditing.
• Run daily reports in Oracle and share relevant insights for sales and shortages.
• Support other team members as needed and ensure safe, compliant operations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Provides logistical/scheduling support for customer daily requirements including but not limited to: arranging outbound finished goods shipments, inbound shipments, and transfers. Inclusive of inbound and outbound dock scheduling for all facilities. Work closely with our carrier group to continue strong relationships. Acts as liaison between customer, warehouse and other applicable departments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scheduling outbound shipmentsof finished goods, in bound raw materials, & selected transfers.
• Work closely with customers and brokers as well as sales operations, warehousing, production scheduling and order management teams to ensure customer orders are scheduled as requested
• Coordinate customer service communications, delivery and notifications as required;
• Maintain department SOPs for customers and processestoensure that team is adequately cross trained to properly cover absences and work overflow;
• Maintain outbound shipping schedules for all facilities;
• Maintain freight rates and accessorial charges for approval and auditing purposes;
• Research transportation carrier driver detention claims and case variance reports from customers on a weekly basis, disputing if applicable;
• Responsible for backing up and assisting others within the department as needed;
• Run daily reports in Oracle and distribute as they pertain to daily sales and shortages
• Communicate directly with Quality Assurance for release of products on incubation and/or N/C holds
• Research information pertaining to inventory, as requested by customer, and relay information to internal personnel and/or departments
• Research transportation carrier driver detention claims and case variance reports from customers on a per case basis
• All other duties as assigned
• Work in a safe manner in compliance with Company safety policies and regulations
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• HS Diploma/GED required
• 3 years of experience in logistics and/or order entry preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics, transportation and distribution
• Excellent customer/vendor relations and written/verbal communication skills along with multi-tasking, prioritization and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Oracle experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Regularly required to sit, use hands;
• Occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, with a potential of up to 25 pounds;
• Sedentary office environment;
• Occasional exposure to manufacturing plant floor requiring the use of personal protective equipment (ear plugs, safety glasses, bump cap, skid-resistant leather shoes, etc.);
• Must follow Good Manufacturing Practice (hair net, no jewelry, no fake nails or eyelashes, no food/drink, gum, etc. in manufacturing Plant).
