Job summary

LiDestri Foods in Rochester is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Associate to ensure raw materials are available for production and finished goods are prepared for shipping, while supporting a safe, efficient warehouse workflow.

You will coordinate materials by reviewing pick lists, return leftovers to freezers, maintain precise inventory, monitor damages, and operate forklift using RF scanners, all while adhering to safety rules and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to wear PPE and safety gear.
• Basic arithmetic, counting and communication skills.
• Experience with RF scanners and forklift operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate raw materials by reviewing pick lists.
• Return leftovers to freezers and coolers; adjust counts as needed.
• Keep accurate and current inventory; maintain holds inventory.
• Monitor raw material and finished goods damages.
• Report food safety and quality problems to authorities when needed.
• Review cycle counts and pick lists in a timely manner.
• Work safely following company safety rules and regulations.
• Administer forklift certification, as requested.

Position Summary

• Ensure raw materials are readily available for production and finished product is prepared for shipping

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate raw materials by reviewing pick lists;
• Return left over ingredients to freezers and coolers, adjusting count as needed;
• Keep accurate and current inventory;
• Maintain accurate holds inventory;
• Monitor raw material and finished good damages;
• Communicate any issues regarding raw materials;
• Administer forklift certification, as requested;
• Review cycle count and pick lists in a timely manner;
• Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

Required Education, Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED;
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots);
• Ability to apply basic computer/counting and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning;
• Ability to use basic hand tools (knife and scales);
• Previous experience as a forklift operator and use of RF scanner guns.

Working Conditions

• Constant exposure to extreme loud noises;
• Constant sitting;
• Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment;
• Constant work near moving mechanical parts;
• Frequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers;
• Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending;
• Occasional standing and moving by foot;
• Occasionally lifting >50 pounds;
• Potential exposure to caustic chemicals.
