Job summary

LiDestri Foods seeks a Kitchen Operations Technician to oversee the kitchen and ensure all product exiting the kitchen meets customer and product requirements. You will supervise batch prep, verify codes, weights, and descriptions, and maintain quality across batches in a fast-paced production environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience, and the ability to work with PPE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Basic computer, math, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Previous experience as a machine operator.
• Lock Out/Tag Out trained is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients per the batch card (verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions).
• Oversee the preparation of batches (spice, sauté, cheese blends, and sauces).
• Remove any products not required for current batches and verify all ingredients are correct.
• Exercise judgement in the quality of the finished product.
• Maintain ingredient lot numbers and cooking cycle counts.
• Perform CIP as required.
• Monitor sauté and cook kettle processing to ensure cook time and product transfers.
• Ability to work in all kitchen positions.
• Ensure kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for use.
• Understand written production orders.
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority initiate action.

Position Summary

• Exercise judgement in the quality of the finished product

• Preform CIPs are required

Required Education, Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
• Ability to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales)
• Previous experience as a machine operator
• Lock Out/Tag Out Trained

Working Conditions

• Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
• Constant standing and moving by foot
• Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
• Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts, including conveyors
• Frequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers
• Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling
• Occasionally lifting >50 pounds
• Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
