Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center is seeking an Inventory Clerk to reconcile, verify and audit product and equipment stock at the Shelbyville site. You will research discrepancies, resolve inquiries, and support cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory across systems.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, strong problem solving, and the ability to work with multiple computer systems while upholding Kroger’s values of respect, safety and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with case pick, piece pick, shipping and receiving functions.
  • Strong customer service skills to respond to multiple internal and external customers quickly.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong systems abilities, ability to rapidly learn and apply multiple systems for tracking inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from management, supervision, buyers, stores, vendors and trucking companies on inventory within site.
  • Move new product items into inventory system.
  • Monitor inventory of equipment and warehouse supplies.
  • Reconcile product shown in various systems with actual product at site.
  • Research accounting questions on purchase orders, invoices, billings of product received.
  • Research and verify returns and obsolete inventory items, and ensures they are accurately recorded in various systems.
  • Prepare handbill for stores when product returned to distribution center (based on site location).
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Job description
