The Restaurant Store in Pennsylvania is seeking a Logistics Intern to join a fast-growing team. The internship includes specialized training, round-table discussions with other interns, and a volunteer day to underscore community involvement as part of our culture.

Two tracks are available: Order Fulfillment and Transportation, offering hands-on experience with our Customer Solutions team, stores, and carriers to improve fulfillment and shipping processes.

Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment Track: Collaborate with Customer Solutions team and store locations to enhance ordering experience.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Assess incoming orders and determine efficient fulfillment methods.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Communicate order status to customers mainly via email.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Assist in solving issues to satisfy order requirements and enable solutions.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Coordinate with vendors, distribution centers, and purchasing to ensure effective fulfillment.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Enter purchase orders for customized and special items.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Monitor expedited shipping orders.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Coordinate online pickup orders with stores.
• Order Fulfillment Track: Propose improvements for delivery and fulfillment.

Responsibilities

This internship will have one of two tracks: Order Fulfillment or Transportation

Order Fulfillment Track:

• Work closely with our Customer Solutions team and retail store locations to enhance our customers' ordering experience
• Assess incoming customer orders and determine the most efficient fulfillment methods
• Provide friendly and empathetic communication, primarily through email, to customers on the status of their orders
• Assist in problem solving to satisfy customer order requirements and execute strategic solutions
• Communicate with internal and external sources, specifically with our vendors, distribution centers, and purchasing department, to ensure effective order fulfilment
• Assist with entering purchase orders for customized and special order items
• Monitor expedited shipping orders
• Coordinate with our retail store locations to complete online pickup orders
• Offer suggestions and methods to improve delivery and order fulfillment

Transportation Track:

• Work directly with carriers to resolve shipping issues that occur with ground and common carrier shipments
• Make and execute decisions regarding the delivery needs of customer orders
• Provide friendly assistance to our customers and keep them updated on the status of their orders
• Work closely with our Customer Solutions team and our retail store locations to enhance our customers' shopping experience
• File and manage carrier damage claims
• Coordinate and schedule common carrier pickups
• Log and analyze freight invoices
• Monitor expedited shipping orders to ensure they deliver timely
• Offer suggestions and methods to improve delivery
