Job summary

Lavelle Industries, Inc. is hiring a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator for our Whitewater, WI facility.

You will support daily shipping and logistics operations, ensuring orders ship accurately and on time, and serve as a liaison between Customer Service, Production, Shipping, and transportation partners. You will manage shipments, maintain routing and scheduling, coordinate carrier pickups, prepare documentation, and contribute to inventory accuracy and Lean initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or transportation preferred.
• Experience with customer portals, routing requirements, and transportation carriers preferred.
• Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, or ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication; ability to build cross‑functional relationships.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shipping orders and prioritize shipments.
• Coordinate carrier pickups and scheduling for Whitewater and Burlington operations.
• Create and manage shipment numbers and related documentation.
• Maintain routing instructions and scheduling requirements in customer portals.
• Follow up with carriers and internal teams to resolve delays and issues.
• Serve as liaison between Customer Service and Shipping for timely execution.
• Prepare export documentation and other shipping paperwork as required.
• Assist with inventory cycle counting and accuracy initiatives.
• Support shipping-related Lean initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Participate in training of shipping personnel.
• Pick, process, and stage orders as needed to support department needs.
• Verify shipment transactions and maintain records in company systems.
