Kroger is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor for an on-site role at our Delaware, OH location. You will lead a team, coordinate fleet availability, schedule maintenance, and develop fleet information systems to support efficient operations.

The role requires 5+ years in diesel mechanics with management experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Travel to offsite locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years diesel mechanics/tech experience and 2 years of management experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid commercial driver's license required.
• Ability to operate diesel shop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Coordinate fleet availability
• Schedule maintenance
• Produce mechanics' schedule
• Develop and upgrade fleet information system
• Obtain permits and licenses; maintain records of permits and licenses
• Maintain inventory of repair parts and equipment; requisition replacement stock
• Purchase parts for maintenance department
• Prepare fuel inventory and reports
• Prepare repair reports and vehicle requests
• Review life cycle costing reports
• Maintain and evaluate tires
• Recommend capital purchase of new equipment
• Select vendors
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
• Travel to offsite locations to support business needs
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience in diesel mechanics/technology, and two years management experience; or combination of relevant education and experience
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment associated with a diesel engine shop, trucks, tractors, trailers
• Valid commercial driver's license
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain confidentiality
• Accuracy/attention to detail
• Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
• Familiarity with truck maintenance terms and processes
• Ability to continue education
