The Kroger Co. is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support mechanics at our Phoenix facility. This on-site, full-time role requires assisting with repairs, preventive maintenance, and parts runs, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Applicants must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license and a willingness to learn to operate the listed equipment. The schedule may include weekends and overtime, and training will be provided as needed.

Responsible for assisting mechanics in daily repair work. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Ability to read/interpret documents
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
• Willingness to continue education as necessary
• Strong time management skills
• Ability/willingness to learn to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: hand truck, hand and power pallet jack, power lift equipment (company will train)
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients, and / or associates in the organization
• Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
• Ability to work a variety of shifts which may include weekends and overtime
• Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to write routine reports/correspondence

Desired
