Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking an internship to assist with implementing, monitoring, improving, and controlling mission critical processes and programs in support of project teams for construction, milling and paving projects across our Virginia footprint.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in equipment, transportation, logistics, compliance and information technology, with a collaborative learning environment. Most internships run 0–3 months.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong team player with good communication and customer service orientation.
• Independent problem-solver with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist Equipment Manager with cost management and review.
• Help manage equipment billing and daily rate issues.
• Assist PM Coordinator, Shop Forman, and Superintendent as needed.
• Track inspections, registrations, and permits of equipment, trucks, and trailers; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with truck and equipment maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Coordinate equipment fuel planning logistics and work with Transportation to optimize efficiency.
• Work closely with Transportation to ensure accuracy of equipment locations and reporting.
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
