Job summary

Kroger Delivery is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to support our transportation department at 30 W Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham, AL. You will coordinate and dispatch delivery drivers, manage routes, and ensure timely dispatch to driver gates while upholding Kroger's standards of service and safety.

You will adapt to new technologies, track orders, communicate with drivers and customers, and help maintain data integrity in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to all contacts.

Responsibilities

• Adapt to any technological programs and requirements pertaining to the job.
• Understand the processing and execution of orders, setting up equipment and assigning routes to drivers.
• Ensure we minimize the time it takes to dispatch to driver gate time.
• Eliminate inefficiencies in the dispatch process.
• Trace, track, and locate orders and delivery routes.
• Initiate schedules and correspondences with drivers, operations, and customers.
• Multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate with all levels of the business, always displaying trust and competency.
• Ensure confidentiality of personal data.
• Route incoming problem calls to proper resource.
• Willingness to learn and advance as the job may expand.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
