The Logistics Dispatch Supervisor will oversees a staff of Dispatchers and plays a leadership role in ensuring strong operational performance of the Logistics region and each individual customer. This role is responsible for the training of dispatch personnel and their associated adherence to protocols and procedures. This position requires a self-motivated professional with the ability to think quickly on his/her feet and exercise independent judgment in the daily supervision of staff.
Job Duties
- Ensure that staff of Dispatchers are able to plan, coordinate and manage loads in an efficient and cost-effective manner
- Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product
- Provide coaching and motivation for dispatch staff and professional car haulers
- Document performance issues and make recommendations for personnel actions
- Maintain consistent line of communication and positive professional relationships with internal and external customers
- Provides assistance to customers, suppliers, employees, and carriers regarding any operational issues; responds to inquiries to build and maintain positive customer relationships
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and professionally; Work in cross functional team to address service issues as needed
- Analyze service reports and continually seek ways to improve day-to-day processes for improved operational efficiency
- Play an integral role in KPI measurement reporting for the department and for each individual customer
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations

Qualifications
- College degree or two years of logistics experience preferably in a trucking environment, or one year of supervisory experience in finished vehicle transportation

- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
