Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation is seeking an organized Shipping/Dispatch Clerk to support traffic operations in Washington, MO. You will schedule shipments, prepare Bill of Lading, enter carrier rates, and verify loads in the ERP system, while ensuring driver PPE compliance and accurate, timely updates to all stakeholders.

The role requires a high school diploma, MS Word/Excel skills, and 2+ years in shipping/logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
• At least 2 years of relevant shipping/logistics experience.
• Experience with RateLinx TMS platform.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.

Responsibilities

• Schedules inbound and outbound shipments and coordinates with affected departments.
• Creates Bill of Lading for outbound loads.
• Enters carrier rates into the ERP system.
• Confirms loads have departed the site in ERP.
• Performs daily dispatch duties for the shipping office.
• Captures photos and documents quality checks of finish goods outbound.
• Back-ups receiving functions for inbound materials.
• Assists with scheduling outbound shipments and communicates with affected departments and Project Management.
• Ensures drivers meet safety PPE for yard and client sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned; maintains regular attendance.
