You will act as a liaison between warehouse, customers and truckers, ensuring requests are completed timely and accurately, and you will handle daily inventory management using WMS and Excel reporting. The role requires a HS diploma, 2 years CS experience, knowledge of inventory control and freight forwarding, and proficiency in Microsoft Office including VLOOKUP.

• Two years of customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and customer service techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) including VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding industry for International and Domestic shipments.
• Ability to perform basic math for freight, storage, and charges.

JOB SUMMARY

Logistics – Customer Service is responsible for working as a liaison between the warehouse, customers and truckers to ensure all customer requests are completed timely and accurately. Handle daily inventory management through use of WMS and excel reporting.

Duties & Functions

• Provide accurate, consistent numbers on all paperwork.
• Perform customer service duties with correspondence to customers and overseas partners, e- mails fax, etc.
• Provide customers with shipping information, inbound/outbound transaction and inventory status information.
• Ability to work well and contribute in a team setting.
• Set up and maintain customer files and profiles.
• Update inventory data, rate files, and create reports.
• Update statement data and issue Invoices for customers in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years Customer Service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and customer service techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) including VLOOKUP
• Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry for both International and Domestic.
• Ability to use basic math skills to calculate freight, storage, duty and other charges.

Physical requirements

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light/Medium work - Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
