Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to guide the Dedicated Fleet operation and assist the Project Manager across departments. You will coordinate drivers, scheduling, dispatch, and invoicing while maintaining strong driver relations in a fast-paced environment.

Position requires 2–3 years in logistics/transportation, proficiency with MS Office and TMW, and the ability to multitask and work extended hours.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in logistics/transportation.
• MS Office and TMW experience strongly desired.
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision making skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers.
• Communicates service issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling and dispatch using Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Coordinates daily data entry into the order-management system (TMW).
• Coordinates with home-office invoicing to ensure timely weekly customer invoices.
• Ensures timely completion of daily and weekly tasks and data reports.
• Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to internal and external parties.
• Coordinates daily scheduling of truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues.
• Assists and supports Project Manager with Safety, Security and Labor policies.
• Provides coverage across departments during vacations/holidays as needed.
• Manages and maintains driver payroll and audits expense reports.

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (NFI) and external (Customer)
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Coordinates daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management-system, TMW.
• Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assists Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
• Manages and maintains driver payroll
• Audits and approves driver expense reports
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $27.00 HOUR. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay.
