Job summary

NFI Industries in Greenwood, IN is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to run the Dedicated Fleet operation on a 3rd shift and assist the Project Manager as needed.

You will handle load planning, driver scheduling, dispatch, and data entry in TMW, while coordinating invoicing and weekly KPI reports. Strong driver relations and compliance support are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of logistics and/or transportation experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and TMW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct operations for the Dedicated Fleet and support the Project Manager.
• Maintain positive relations with drivers and internal/external stakeholders.
• Coordinate load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch using Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Enter daily data into the order-management system (TMW).
• Coordinate with invoicing to ensure timely weekly customer invoices.
• Ensure timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
• Provide weekly KPI/performance reports to internal/external parties.
• Schedule daily truck and trailer maintenance coordination.
• Collaborate with safety on DriveCam, HOS, and compliance issues.
• Assist with implementing Safety, Security and Labor policies.
• Cover departments during vacations/holidays as needed.
• Manage and audit driver payroll and expense reports.
• Provide assistance to the Project Manager as needed.

Overview

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and provides operational assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.

Schedule: 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal (NFI) and external (Customer)
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using both Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
• Coordinates daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management-system, TMW.
• Coordinates with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Provides weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
• Coordinates daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assists Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Assists and provides coverage throughout departments during vacations, holidays if necessary
• Manages and maintains driver payroll
• Audits and approves driver expense reports
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation
• Computer applications experience including MS Office and TMW strongly desired
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask
• Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary
