Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced logistics professional to support daily warehousing, receiving shipments, inventory control, and material delivery at the Payload Processing Facility in Merritt Island, with potential international assignments. Flex shifts and safety checks are part of the role.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year in supply chain/operations and be able to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks. Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 49 pounds are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute Transportation SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities.
• Receive Amazon Leo managed and supplier shipments.
• Use ERP software to receive and manage material virtually.
• Track and account for all inventory at the PPF warehouse.
• Coordinate material movements and communicate with Transportation leadership.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
• Travel up to 25% internationally.

Project Amazon Leo's Payload Processing Facility (PPF) is seeking an experienced logistics professional to assist with every day activities listed below in both Florida as well as in French Guiana. This role is expected to travel up to 25% of the time internationally. Successful candidates must also be able to pass the federal security checks to receive an access badge to Kennedy Space Center.

Key job responsibilities

• Execute Transportation related SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities at the PPF
• Receive Amazon Leo managed and supplier shipments
• Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material
• Accurately track and account for all inventory located at the PPF warehouse
• Efficiently deliver material to PPF stakeholders, both physically and virtually
• Coordinate trailer or container movements within the PPF Yard
• Meet operational metrics related to warehouse receiving and inventory activities
• Effectively communicate high priority matters with Transportation leadership
• Shift schedule will vary, depending on production/launch schedules
• Operate equipment including: forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand cart
• Role requires up to 25% travel

Basic Qualifications

• - High school diploma or equivalent
• - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• - 1+ years in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control or related experience
• - 1+ years working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
• - Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
• - Valid Driver’s license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
• - Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport
• - Ability and willingness to comply with the Government of French Guiana which mandates that travelers receive vaccinations for yellow fever
• - With or without reasonable accommodations, must be able to lift up to 49 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

• - Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
• - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
• - Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
• - Prioritize multiple tasks and assignments effectively
• - Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge
• - Experience with and certification to operate forklifts and powered pallet jacks.

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
