Job summary

Scott Manufacturing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Materials/Logistics Support specialist in California. You will coordinate warehousing and transportation activities to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs.

The role requires ERP experience (Syteline preferred) and strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with responsibility for inbound/outbound logistics and dispatching.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–3 years of ERP experience managing inventory, production support, shipping, receiving and warehouse activities.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as Syteline in manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented and analytical.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain is required.

Responsibilities

• Compare shipment contents to records to ensure accuracy.
• Track status of outgoing shipments and input data into the company system.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with logistics technicians, customer service and other teams.
• Create delivery schedules and support shipping/receiving department needs.

The ideal candidate should possess a professional demeanor and provide clerical support for inbound and outbound logistical operations. Coordinates warehousing and transportation activities in order to optimize inventory levels and minimize costs. Supports a variety of logistical functions, including sourcing, receiving, purchasing, and dispatching.

Compensation: $24 - $28 hourly

• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Experience using ERP platforms such as (Syteline) or similar systems in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience utilizing ERP systems to manage inventory transactions, production support, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate data and support efficient supply chain operations through ERP system utilization.

Responsibilities

• Keeping track of the status of outgoing shipments and inputting data into the company system
• Working with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure timely delivery
• Working with logistics technicians, customer service, and other teams
• Offering additional support for shipping and receiving departments as needed.
• Track availability and location of products and supplies.
• Ensure orders are fulfilled and assist with coordinating with multiple departments and personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by ensuring proper storage, labeling, and inventory placement.
• Coordinate warehouse layout and storage strategies to optimize space utilization, material flow, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor inventory locations and ensure accurate stock organization to support timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.
• Implement and maintain warehouse housekeeping standards in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to organize incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring materials are stored and staged appropriately.
• Conduct regular inspections of warehouse areas to identify and correct organization, storage, or safety issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing warehouse efficiency, accessibility, and inventory control.
