This role helps ensure that shipments are arranged accurately, delivered within agreed timelines, and supported by complete documentation and clear communication.
The position works closely with Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, warehouse teams, carriers, freight forwarders, and external logistics providers. Responsibilities include booking transport, scheduling collections and deliveries, tracking shipments, preparing shipping documents, and updating logistics systems. The role investigates delays, coordinates delivery changes, resolves shipment discrepancies, and communicates progress to relevant stakeholders. It also checks transport invoices and maintains accurate records of shipment costs and service performance.
The role supports efficient logistics operations by reviewing delivery trends, identifying recurring issues, and recommending practical improvements. It coordinates returns, damaged-goods cases, and delivery exceptions while helping teams maintain visibility of stock movements. Through careful planning and timely follow-up, the Logistics Coordinator contributes to reliable fulfilment, effective cost control, and a consistent customer experience.
