Aston Carter in Romulus, MI is hiring Expedited Logistics Coordinators to join a fast-paced transportation operation. This full-time, onsite role focuses on managing time-sensitive shipments from order entry through final delivery and serving as the main contact between customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams.

No prior logistics experience is required, but candidates should be reliable, energetic, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor expedited and time-critical shipments from initial order through delivery.
• Track shipments and ensure milestones and status updates are completed on time.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the shipment process.
• Provide proactive updates and respond quickly to customer questions or changing needs.
• Enter and maintain accurate shipment information and documentation.
• Identify potential delays or service issues and elevate them appropriately.
• Manage multiple shipments, emails, phone calls, and priorities throughout the day.
• Respond quickly to new orders and changing shipment requirements.
• Communicate important shipment details between shifts to ensure continuity.
• Follow established procedures for order management, tracking, communication, and escalation.
• Work closely with teammates and leadership to provide a high level of service and maintain on-time performance.

Logistics Coordinator

Looking to start or grow your career in logistics and supply chain? Were hiring multiple Expedited Logistics Coordinators to join a fast-paced transportation operation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, organized, comfortable communicating by phone and email, and able to think on their feet. Previous logistics experience is a plus, but it is not required. Were open to candidates with strong customer service backgrounds who are motivated to learn and build a long-term career in the industry.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Expedited Logistics Coordinator, you'll help manage time-sensitive shipments from order entry through final delivery. You'll serve as a key point of communication between customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to keep shipments moving and customers informed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, energetic, and takes initiative. You don't necessarily need years of logistics experience to be successful in this position.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable work history and a go-getter mentality

Nice to Have:

• 1+ year of logistics, transportation, dispatch, freight forwarding, or related experience
• Experience coordinating carriers or vendors
• Experience with expedited freight, Next Flight Out (NFO), or time-critical shipments
• General knowledge of U.S. and international geography

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Romulus, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
