Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Plymouth, MI to support automotive customer accounts from prototype through full production. You will manage orders, forecasts, delivery schedules, and shipping requirements to ensure 100% on-time delivery.

The role requires 2+ years in automotive/logistics, strong communication, and familiarity with automotive terminology. Proficiency in ERP/EDI and MS Office is preferred; on-site work with occasional flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of automotive, logistics, purchasing, operations, or material control experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with automotive terminology and industry processes.
• Understanding of international shipping and business documentation.
• EDI experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP, accounting, or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Logistics Coordinator for direct-hire in Plymouth, MI!

Pay: $24–$30 per hour

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support automotive customer accounts from prototype through full production. You’ll play a key role in keeping orders, inventory, production schedules, and deliveries on track while working closely with customers and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a key logistics contact for assigned automotive customers.
• Manage customer orders, forecasts, delivery schedules, and shipping requirements.
• Monitor production, inventory, and material flow to support 100% on-time delivery.
• Coordinate EDI transactions and resolve errors or discrepancies.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in ERP and inventory systems.
• Work with customers and production teams to manage new product launches, prototypes, and mass production programs.
• Monitor changes in customer demand and communicate potential impacts to internal teams.
• Coordinate with production facilities, purchasing, sales, and other departments to ensure materials and parts are available when needed.
• Help prevent excess or obsolete inventory by monitoring customer requirements and production plans.
• Track quality issues, engineering/design changes, customer concerns, and corrective actions.
• Support international shipments and work with U.S. Customs when needed.
• Coordinate purchasing and delivery of pass-through parts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports using spreadsheets, charts, and other data.
• Participate in customer and internal meetings and communicate logistics updates clearly.
• Help maintain and improve department procedures and work instructions.
• Assist with warehouse activities such as packaging and labeling service parts when needed.
• Take on special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For
