Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support our growing after-sales and parts logistics operations in the US. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of parts and materials from international suppliers and US warehouses to our service network. You will work closely with our global headquarters, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, and local service partners to maintain high service levels and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Import & Export Operations Coordination:

  • Coordinate daily international shipping activities, including ocean freight and air freight for parts and accessories.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance with US customs regulations.
  • Liaise with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and resolve any hold-ups or inquiries promptly.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local and international logistics service providers (freight forwarders, trucking companies, warehousing partners).
  • Monitor carrier performance regarding on-time delivery, transit times, and freight costs.
  • Request and compare freight quotes to optimize shipping costs while maintaining service quality.

3. Inventory & Distribution Support:

  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure visibility across the supply chain.
  • Coordinate with US warehouses and distribution centers to schedule deliveries and manage inventory replenishment for service partners.
  • Assist in resolving logistics discrepancies, such as damaged goods, short shipments, or lost packages.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate logistics records and update tracking systems with real-time shipment status.
  • Generate regular reports on logistics KPIs (e.g., transit time, freight spend, on-time delivery rate) for management review.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Compliance & Regulatory Support:

  • Stay updated on US import/export regulations, trade compliance policies, and customs requirements to ensure all activities are fully compliant.
  • Collaborate with the headquarters supply chain team to align US logistics practices with global standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2–4 years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
  • Experience in the automotive industry or with EV brands is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, US customs clearance processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and experience with ERP or TMS (Transportation Management System) software.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a strong plus for coordinating with HQ in China.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle urgent logistics issues calmly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between internal teams, external vendors, and HQ.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
