Job summary

Total Quality Logistics in Nashville is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to train as a logistics expert and coordinate freight with transportation partners. You’ll support sales teams and help grow the business by ensuring efficient shipment execution.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, in-office environment. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Strong verbal communication skills - face-to-face and over the phone.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates and secure capacity with transportation partners to move freight at favorable and competitive pricing
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to support daily shipment execution
• Communicate with internal sales teams and transportations partners to build and maintain ongoing relationships
• Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
• Input and process accurate shipment data in our state-of-the-art systems

About the role:

As a Logistics Coordinator for TQL, you will receive extensive training to become a subject matter expert in the world of logistics and supply chain. After completing training, you will be responsible for working with our transportation partners to find and coordinate available assets to ship and move our customers’ freight. You will become the go-to-support to help our sales teams manage their accounts and directly grow the company.
