Job summary

Family Entertainment Group is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the hands-on, point-to-point movement of shipments across our network of locations. You will obtain freight quotes, coordinate wrap-and-roll transfers, and book shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective asset movement.

This individual-contributor role reports to the Parts & Service Manager and may assist with parts picking/packing and service calls when workload allows.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, freight coordination, shipping/receiving, or transportation coordination.
  • Experience obtaining and comparing freight quotes; familiarity with LTL/FTL and wrap-and-roll freight preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines at once.
  • Clear, proactive verbal and written communication with carriers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in warehouse conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all point-to-point logistics for shipments, equipment, and assets moving between manufacturers, corporate, and field locations.
  • Obtain and compare freight quotes directly from manufacturers for shipments to individual locations, selecting the best combination of cost and transit time.
  • Set up and coordinate wrap-and-roll freight for game and equipment transfers between locations.
  • Book and schedule freight shipments for asset transfers between locations.
  • Track shipments in transit and proactively communicate ETAs, delays, and exceptions to the field and Parts & Service Manager and affected locations.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, freight quotes, and tracking information, for accuracy.
  • Negotiate rates and service terms with carriers and freight forwarders to control shipping costs.
  • Maintain organized records of freight quotes, carrier contacts, and shipment history.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce freight costs, transit times, and shipping errors.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the hands-on, point-to-point movement of shipments and equipment across all Family Entertainment Group locations, including obtaining freight quotes directly from manufacturers and setting up and coordinating wrap-and-roll freight for asset transfers. This is an individual-contributor role: the Coordinator executes logistics tasks directly , and reports to the Parts & Service Manager. When logistics volume allows, which is the minority of the role, the Coordinator also supports the Parts & Service department with picking, packing, and shipping parts, fielding service calls, and general department assistance.

Key Responsibilities - Logistics (Primary)
  • Coordinate all point-to-point logistics for shipments, equipment, and assets moving between manufacturers, corporate, and field locations.
  • Obtain and compare freight quotes directly from manufacturers for shipments to individual locations, selecting the best combination of cost and transit time.
  • Set up and coordinate wrap-and-roll freight for game and equipment transfers between locations.
  • Book and schedule freight shipments for asset transfers between locations.
  • Track shipments in transit and proactively communicate ETAs, delays, and exceptions to the field and Parts & Service Manager and affected locations.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, freight quotes, and tracking information, for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities - Parts & Service Support (Secondary)
  • Assist with picking, packing, and shipping parts orders to field locations.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, labeling, and storing parts inventory, maintaining proper par levels.
  • Take and route incoming service calls from field technicians.
  • Assist field technicians with parts identification, handling, and ordering processes.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory audits as needed.
  • Assist with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processing with manufacturers as needed.
  • Provide general support to the Parts & Service department as directed by the Parts & Service Manager.

  • Clear, proactive verbal and written communication with carriers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable using basic computer and database tools (Excel, inventory or ERP systems).
  • Willingness and ability to take on secondary duties, including picking/packing parts, fielding service calls, and general department support.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in warehouse conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional training in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
