Job summary

Rinker Materials in Henderson, Colorado seeks a Logistics Coordinator to oversee the on-time shipment of finished goods and to balance customer service with shipping costs while adhering to DOT regulations.

You will manage schedules for precast products, coordinate with production, and maintain inventory through meetings and counts. Strong data-entry, communication, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree or equivalent Dispatch/Shipping/Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or transportation coordination is preferred
• Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Earth, Adobe and ERP systems (JD Edwards)
• High accuracy and data-entry skills are essential
• Strong written and verbal communication across levels of the organization
• Team-oriented with the ability to support plant, production and sales teams
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work detail-oriented

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and prioritize the shipment of all finished goods
• Proactive contact and professional communication with customers to learn preferred sequences, schedules and priorities, and set up delivery, service and load tickets
• Schedule and maintain the schedule for custom precast products based on customer sequences and priorities
• Track custom produced products and compare to delivery schedules to identify what to deliver
• Manage inventory levels through daily production meetings and monthly counts
• Set up will-call orders for same-day dispatch
• Serve as backup to other logistics coordinators and to dispatcher as needed
• Enter pick tickets and loads in the ERP system (JD Edwards) daily
• Create and maintain orders
• Attend to company needs in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform special projects or assignments as directed

About The Role

• Monitor, record, and prioritize the shipment of all finished goods

• Track custom produced product and compare to anticipated delivery schedules to identify product that needs to be delivered
• Manage inventory levels through daily meetings with production and monthly inventory counts
• Set up will call orders for same day dispatching
• Serve as backup to other logistics coordinator(s) as needed
• Serve as backup to dispatcher as needed
• Daily entry of pick tickets and loads in ERP system (JD Edwards).
• Order creation and maintenance
• Regular, timely attendance to meet company needs in an efficient and effective manner.
• Performs special projects or assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent Dispatch Shipping/Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience.
• Manufacturing, construction or transportation coordination.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Earth, Adobe and database/ERP systems (JD Edwards) - preferred. Able to learn or build upon existing knowledge of computer and/or database.
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
• Good communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels of employees.
• Work as an effective and proactive team player, understands the importance of supporting the plant, production, and sales along with collaborating professionally with employees and managers.
• Understand and maintain confidential nature of company and employee information.
• Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Possess effective problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, shows initiative, willing to seek out department needs and meet them.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
