Job summary

Rinker is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to ensure on-time delivery of concrete products while balancing customer service and shipping costs, with compliance to DOT regulations.

You will monitor shipments, coordinate with production, manage inventory, and support dispatch and ERP data entry in a safety-conscious, teamwork-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent Dispatch, Shipping/Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience.
• Manufacturing, construction or transportation coordination.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Earth, Adobe and JD Edwards ERP.
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Team player who supports plant, production and sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and prioritize the shipment of finished goods.
• Proactive contact with customers to learn sequences, schedules and priorities; set up delivery and load tickets.
• Schedule and maintain the delivery schedule for custom precast products.
• Track production and compare to delivery schedules to identify overdue deliveries.
• Manage inventory levels through daily standups and monthly counts.
• Set up will-call orders for same-day dispatching.
• Provide backup support to logistics coordinators and dispatchers.
• Enter pick tickets and loads in JD Edwards; maintain orders.

About the Role:

• Monitor, record, and prioritize the shipment of all finished goods
• Proactive contact and professional communication with customers learn preferred sequences, schedules and priorities, and set up delivery, service and delivery load tickets.
• Using customers sequences and priorities, schedule & maintain the schedule for custom precast products
• Track custom produced product and compare to anticipated delivery schedules to identify product that needs to be delivered
• Manage inventory levels through daily meetings with production and monthly inventory counts
• Set up will call orders for same day dispatching
• Serve as backup to other logistics coordinator(s) as needed
• Serve as backup to dispatcher as needed
• Daily entry of pick tickets and loads in ERP system (JD Edwards).
• Order creation and maintenance
• Regular, timely attendance to meet company needs in an efficient and effective manner.
• Performs special projects or assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree or equivalent DispatchShipping/Logistics or Supply Chain Managementexperience.
• Manufacturing, construction or transportation coordination.
• Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Earth, Adobe and database/ERP systems (JD Edwards) - preferred. Able to learn or build upon existing knowledge of computer and/or database.
• Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with strong data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
• Good communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels of employees.
• Work as an effective and proactive team player, understands the importance of supporting the plant, production, and sales along with collaborating professionally with employees and managers.
• Understand and maintain confidential nature of company and employee information.
• Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work. Possess effective problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated, fast learner, shows initiative, willing to seek out department needs and meet them.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
