Responsibilities

  • Serve as focal point of contact for existing and new customers.
  • Daily arrangement of customs clearance and monitor the brokers' procedures.
  • Implement SOP to meet customer requirements.
  • Work with Coordinator/Documentation for data entry and checking.
  • Invoice preparation, cost checking and closing.
  • Support manager to improve communication with customers.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned by the team leader.

Job Summary

Prepares and compiles documents required by the federal government for discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports to serve as an intermediary between importers, merchant shipping companies, airlines, railroads, trucking companies, pipeline operators, and the United States Customs Service. Performs these duties personally or through a subordinate supervisor.

Essential Functions
  • Act as focal point of contact for existing and new customers
  • Daily arrangement of customs clearance and monitor the customs brokers daily procedure & reports
  • Implement SOP to meet customer specific requirements
  • Work with Coordinator/Documentation for system data entry and checking
  • Invoice preparation, cost checking and presentation, job checking and closing
  • Support manager to meet with customers for better communication, efficient cooperation, or removing misunderstandings
  • Complete other related jobs assigned by the team leader
Job Requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good communication and organization skills and strong attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to work on a team is strongly desired.
  • Familiar with customs clearance procedures both in import and export.
  • Knowledge of import and export procedures.
  • Knowledge of customs policy.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills in Excel and Word.
  • Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
