Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking a Production Control Logistics Control to oversee end-to-end material movement within the facility and ensure packaging solutions for all production parts.

You will manage material flow processes, deploy handling equipment, optimize procedures, establish internal routing, and develop headcount planning while driving KPI driven improvements and cost reductions in packaging and flow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience in material flow, inventory management, internal logistics, or supply chain management.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced Microsoft Applications expertise.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations for material handling.
  • Ability to present clearly to upper management.
  • SAP experience in Material Master/Supply Area.
  • Value Stream Mapping knowledge.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design of material flow within automotive production lines to minimize downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Establish man hours calculations for the Material Handling team and continually improve processes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development of the team.
  • Implement Kanban systems to control material flow and trigger replenishments.
  • Remove roadblocks and resolve obstacles delaying milestones.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to mitigate manpower, materials, methods, and machine issues.
  • Lead all new model launch milestones related to packaging and material handling.
  • Develop KPIs to measure efficiency and performance, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Pursue cost reduction improvements in material flow and packaging.
  • Meet other requirements as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in material flow, inventory management, internal logistics, and/or supply chain management.

  • Diverse knowledge of various packing materials, applications, and design.
Working Hours (Shift) Requirement
