Job summary

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution, or, in lieu of a degree, 6 or more years of related work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Enterprise supply chain risk management, including monitoring, auditing, and enforcing compliance and remediation strategies across large-scale logistics operations.
    • Performing risk analytics, formal audits and engagements, and directing headquarters-level (HQ) monitoring controls.
  • Experience with planning, distributing, coordinating, and monitoring work assignments of others, evaluating work performance, and providing feedback to others on their performance, ensuring staff are treated fair and equitable.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Logistics management best practices and policies, including audit readiness standards such as execution risk and compliance controls.
    • Operational risk analytics, audit methodologies, and the internal frameworks necessary to manage enterprise-wide supply chain remediation efforts.
  • Ability to leverage insights to direct HQ-level management review controls and respectfully challenge risk postures across the tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide executive-level reporting and technical advisement to senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused, organized, and plan work independently or collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience supporting customers with classified and unclassified environments.
  • Pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

It is desirable that the candidate have the following qualifications:

  • One or more of the following certifications in active status:
    • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
    • Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
  • Master's degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Auditing, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • SCI clearance eligibility
  • Experience with:
    • Working within a Navy ordnance unit or managing munitions readiness
    • Supervising or auditing Type Commanders (TYCOMs) and Navy Munitions Commands (NMC).
    • Defense Financial Improvement Audit Remediation (FIAR)
  • Knowledge of conventional ordnance management policies, including Execution of required Management Review Control (MRC) activities outlined in NAVSUP P-724 Section 4.5
  • Ability to apply standard logistics risk frameworks to explosive safety, munitions routing, and physical inventory controls of Class V stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage logistics governance, risk, and compliance activities for federal munitions programs and defense logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, DoD policies, contract requirements, safety standards, and munitions handling procedures.
  • Identify logistics risks, compliance gaps, and process deficiencies; recommend and track corrective actions through closure.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, inspections, and audit readiness activities for government and internal program requirements.
  • Coordinate with operations, safety, security, quality, contracts, and program teams to maintain compliant logistics controls and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain logistics policies, procedures, reports, metrics, and risk summaries for leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
