Be a part of operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure! Amazon Web Services is seeking a motivated professional for a Data Center Logistics Manager position. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence.
The Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight of multiple spare parts rooms located in staffed and un-staffed Data Centers. The role incorporates analyzation and continuous improvement around effectiveness of work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing. Our Logistics Managers ensure performance plans are set, maintained, continuously improved upon, and difficult problems are met with creative solutions to achieve highly accurate and timely inventory movement throughout our Data Centers.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- 5 years of management experience, including administering yearly performance reviews to direct reports and team development and 5+ years in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.
- 3+ years collecting data and reporting against key performance metrics and 3+ years in inventory control and/or Inventory Management Systems (IMS/WMS).
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Proven ability to identify issues, develop solutions & drive results.
- Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide effective feedback that will develop your teams.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail, follow-up, multi-tasking and conflict resolution.
- Lean Certification and/or Six Sigma belt.
- Experience with BI Analytics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $125,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
