Data Center Logistics Specialist, Data Center Communities InfraOps

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual customer access to our services. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we seek talented individuals to join us.

You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other roles. Your collaboration will help us deliver high safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at low costs. Key responsibilities
  • Analyze processes, inventory, efficiency, and costs for improvements.
  • Maintain precise records of commodities, manage inventory, and support internal shipments.
  • Arrange, schedule, and support shipments across sites.
  • Unpack and verify contents of shipments.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in workspaces.
  • Deeply analyze data to improve logistics metrics and performance.

This role involves occasional travel to support other sites and lifting materials up to 18kg with team support.

A day in the life
  • Provide items safely, accurately, and promptly.
  • Work in a diverse, friendly environment with scheduled hours from 9:00 to 18:00 on business days.
  • Work mostly indoors with occasional outdoor shipment support.
  • Operate in environments with varying noise levels and handle electronic parts.
  • Participate in on-call duties after hours on a rotating basis.

Minimum qualifications
  • Experience in 5S, project management, and operation standardization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Conversational Japanese and English skills.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse, or inventory management.
Preferred qualifications
  • University diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with visual management tools and dashboards using SQL.
  • Experience in layout or warehouse design improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
