Job summary

Cérélia operates a state-of-the-art bakery and production facility in Whitehall, Ohio, serving as the U.S. hub for Jus-Rol. This role supports warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, and loading, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will handle order processing, inventory tracking, and shipments, with comfort operating forklifts and scanning devices in a cool environment. Training and PPE are provided.

Cérélia operates a state-of-the-art commercial bakery and production facility in Whitehall, Ohio, a 150,000-square-foot plant that opened in September 2021 and serves as the U.S. manufacturing hub for the Jus-Rol brand. Our Whitehall facility specializes in ready-to-bake chilled dough products—including pizza dough, pie crusts, puff pastry, and cookie dough—and continues to expand with new product lines to support national growth.

About the Opportunity

Detailed oriented individual with ability to operate warehouse equipment in a food manufacturing warehouse. Warehouse activities to include receiving, handling, stock keeping, picking, and loading within the warehouse, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Responsible for safety, process efficiency, quality assurance within the warehouse, and meeting customer expectations.

This role will report directly to our Logistics Supervisor and will work out of our brand-new state of the art manufacturing facility in Whitehall Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Order Processing: Prepare shipping documents, bill of lading (legal receipts for cargo), and customs forms.
• Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate stock levels in enterprise databases and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Shipment Management: Coordinate with vendors and carriers to schedule the incoming and outgoing flow of goods.
• Customer Support: Update clients on delivery status and resolve issues if items are damaged or delayed.
• Unload and Verify: Safely unload freight and compare the physical items to the packing slip or purchase order to ensure a correct delivery
• Inspect for Quality: Check goods for damage, defects, or missing items. Report issues immediately.
• Manage Inventory: Log incoming products into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. Label items and place them in correct storage locations.
• Documentation: Process paperwork, such as bills of lading and invoices. Route these documents to accounts payable or purchasing teams.
• Operate forklift (stand up Crown) and pallet jacks as needed.
• Operate stretch wrap machines.
• Familiarity with modern warehouse practices and methods including operating scanners or handheld devices used to move and track items.
• Prepare and complete orders for shipping according to the schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Computer-based order picking in cooler (38 degrees) or freezer (-10 degree) environment. Cold gear provided.
• Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and shipped.
• Check in and sign out drivers in log.
• Inventory cycle-counting
• Check in raw materials, packaging supplies, and other deliveries according to procedures.
• Label all incoming materials according to procedures.
• Stock production lines with needed materials.
• Keep warehouse areas interior and exterior clean and organized. Daily cleaning will be required.
• Flexibility to work off-shifts, and overtime including days or nights, weekends, or holidays.
  Quality Assurance
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures, including product hold and traceability.
• Report any discrepancies with product or code dates.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet SQF, regulatory, company, and customer requirements.
  Health and Safety
• Ensure the use safe work practices and that safe working conditions exist.
• Conduct daily equipment checks as required.
• Report any damage or equipment issue to Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
• Operate all forklifts according to OSHA standard and company policies and SOPs.
• Must be able to work in coolers and freezers for extended periods. PPE will be provided.
• Follow company safety policies and practices fostering a safe workplace and environment for ourselves and our co-workers.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• Food manufacturing experience preferred (1-3years)
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• General understanding of FEFO processes (first expired, first out)
• Ability to accurately operate RF scanners
• Ability to operate stand up forklifts
• Basic math skills
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
• Comfortable working in environments with extreme temperatures zones (coolers at 38 degrees and/or freezers at -10 degrees). Must be able to rack or receive material in these zones, not work in them for the duration of the shift.
