Job summary

Altana Pharma Deutschland S.L. (Nycomed Germany Holding GmbH) is seeking a reliable warehouse shipping associate in Jamestown, NY to manage picking requests, transfer orders, and material movements from warehouse to customer orders using SAP. The role focuses on accurate labeling, packing, and timely handoff.

You will prepare shipments, maintain internal docs, assist with loading trucks, verify DOT certification, and support daily inventory and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Good problem-solving ability.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math aptitude.
• Ability to obtain DOT, IMDG and IATA certification.
• Ability to generate DOT and Export documents.
• Ability to use SAP.

Responsibilities

• Review picking request and transfer order
• Physically transfer and scan material movements from warehouse to customer order build
• Process shipment requirements within SAP (pick and print ship labels, customer specific labels, country specific language labels)
• Prepare shipment (box, apply regulatory and shipping labels, wrap, complete customer special instructions, etc)
• Update and sign off on appropriate internal documentation after customer load is built
• Assist with loading trucks, verify driver DOT certification, secure appropriate signatures on BOL
• Retrieve appropriate shipping documents, have driver sign BOL, load truck
• Assist with daily housekeeping
• Assist with specific receiving functions (off load pallets, empty drums)
• Assist with daily inventory requirements in shipping warehouse
• Assist with annual inventory
• Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions
