The Position :

The Logistics Clerk will deliver supplies, mail, copy center items, office supplies, and other transportable items to various Indianapolis campus locations, including downtown, Plainfield, Lawrence Fairbanks, Lawrence Public Safety, and Automotive Center. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory management alongside the Logistics Shipping Lead and Assistant Director of Logistics and Equipment, as well as collecting information related to stocking and fulfilling orders.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Deliver goods and services to Indianapolis Campus locations.
  • Plan, organize, and maintain inventory in the warehouse.
  • Maintain cleanliness of transportation vehicles used for delivery.
  • Coordinate with facilities leadership for vehicle maintenance.
  • Provide backup support for logistics and custodial services as needed.
  • Complete work tickets and communicate with supervisors and team members.
  • Perform physical tasks related to the program as required.
  • Inspect college sites regularly to ensure building and grounds maintenance, including trash and parking lots.
  • Communicate via Microsoft Teams and handheld radio.
  • Coordinate with personnel and external organizations to exchange information, organize activities, and resolve issues.
  • Drive college vehicles to conduct work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements :

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance; heavier tasks require assistance.
  • Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders safely.
  • Travel within the Indianapolis service area using College vehicles.
  • Hold or obtain an Indiana driver’s license.
  • Be detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable to changing situations.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability by the College’s insurance carrier.
  • Ability to perform significant physical effort, including working on ladders, over-head tasks, heavy lifting (>50 lbs), twisting, and bending in hot/cold environments.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in academic or state organizations.
  • Industry-related training and certifications.

Pay Scale : $15.00 - $17.00 hourly
