Teknor Apex seeks a reliable shipping/dock associate at our Rhode Island facility. You will unload elevators, stage shipments, process returns, handle UPS orders, and load trucks with proper stretch wrapping while maintaining a clean, safe dock area and performing daily forklift checks.

Must be able to read and comprehend English, possess good math and communication skills, and be willing to drive or learn to drive a forklift. This role reports to the Logistics Manager and runs on the 1st shift.

Job Requirements:

• Unloads elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load all Teknor or outside trucks for shipment of designated orders, ensuring that stretch wrapping is provided when needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area on the shipping dock. Check forklift daily prior to operating.
• Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems preferred.

Skills:

• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Possess good math skills.
• Able to drive (or learn to drive) a forklift and to use an electric hand truck.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
