Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a shipping/dock associate in Rhode Island for the 1st shift. You will unload elevators, stage truck shipments, process returns, and handle UPS orders. You’ll load trucks, ensure stretch wrap is applied when needed, and keep the shipping dock clean and safe.

Experience with Teknor Apex systems is a plus, but willingness to learn is valued. Must be able to read English, perform basic math, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Good math skills for basic counting and measurements.
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load Teknor Apex or outside trucks for shipment, ensuring stretch wrap is used when needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area on the shipping dock; check forklift daily before use.

Job Requirements:

• Unloads elevators.
• Stage truck shipments in the Shipping Area.
• Process customer returns.
• Process UPS orders through the UPS system.
• Load all Teknor or outside trucks for shipment of designated orders, ensuring that stretch wrapping is provided when needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area on the shipping dock. Check forklift daily prior to operating.
• Experience with Teknor Apex computer systems preferred.

Skills:

• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Possess good math skills.
• Able to drive (or learn to drive) a forklift and to use an electric hand truck.
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written.
