Job summary

Lineage in Novi, MI is seeking an entry-level Transportation Operations Support. You will handle clerical tasks, order entry, scheduling, track and trace, and document scanning to support import/export processes.

No prior experience is required; a High School Diploma is enough. Basic Microsoft Office skills, strong communication and attention to detail are valued as you collaborate with Logistics Specialists and warehouse staff on daily goals.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day transportation operations with clerical tasks and order entry.
• Manage track and trace, document scanning, and assist Logistics Specialists.
• Assist with planning appointments and coordinating orders.
• Handle basic billing and ensure rate accuracy every 1–3 days.
• Research and file driver documentation, and perform basic audits on invoices.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to meet daily goals.

Job description

Pay Range Between $20 - $22 an hr

Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM

• On-Site Required Tuesday - Thursday

Support the day-to-day transportation operations, including clerical work, order entry, planning appointments, track and trace, document scanning, and assisting Logistics Specialists in support of the overall import/export process.

What You’ll Do

• Support basic customer needs by answering phones, managing email volume, and becoming familiar with customer accounts
• Utilize transportation software to track and trace vessel and terminal schedules and generate reports for visibility
• Collaborate with Logistics Specialists and warehouse staff to achieve daily goals
• Support Logistics Specialists with planning appointments and coordinating orders
• Assist with billing every 1-3 days and ensure rates are accurate
• Research for both customer and driver documentation
• File and scan driver documentation
• Perform basic audits to review vendor invoices to minimize discrepancies

What You’ll Bring

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• No prior experience is required; previous experience in a shipping or transportation coordination environment experience or relevant certification is advantageous but not necessary
