Areas of Responsibility and Job Requirements:

The Inventory Coordinator will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and efficient inventory records within the property. He/she will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and managing inventory levels, ensuring that all products and materials are accounted for and readily available. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our supply chain and help optimize inventory management processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory items.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of products and materials to reconcile inventory levels.
  • Identify discrepancies or issues in inventory data and work towards resolving them promptly.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to facilitate easy retrieval.
  • Receiving and Shipping:
  • Assist in receiving shipments and verifying the accuracy of delivered goods.
  • Collaborate with management/maintenance team to coordinate the movement of inventory as required.
  • Data Entry and Documentation:
  • Enter inventory data into excel and maintain digital records with precision.
  • Update inventory-related information, such as stock levels and product descriptions, as needed.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory status, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Quality Control:
  • Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing inventory items to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Report any damaged or defective items and take appropriate actions to address the issues.
  • Monitor slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend actions, such as liquidation or reordering.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols while handling inventory items.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred or a combination of work experience
  • Additional education in inventory management or related field is a plus.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:

  • 2+ plus years working in a similar role

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong mathematical skills to accurately calculate inventory counts and related calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects, as required during inventory counts and handling.

Competencies/Essential Job Functions:

This position consists mainly of light physical work. The position may require exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The role involves walking and moving most of the time.

The incumbent is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned or to perform an activity such as: preparing orders, review orders, view computer screens for extended periods of time, extensive reading, etc.

  • This role frequently requires the incumbent to grasp, engage in repetitive movements with the wrist, hands, and fingers, typing for extended period of time.
  • The role also requires incumbent to talk and hear, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken work and the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make distinctions in sound.
  • The incumbent will occasionally be expected to walk and/or move about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for long distances; moving from one work site to another or occasionally in narrow aisles, hallways, or passageways, reach objects

This position will be occasionally subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and temperature changes (extreme cold or extreme heat) with or without effective protection from the weather.

The incumbent may occasionally be subject to noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the noise.
