Job summary

You will provide analytical support for logistics initiatives and assist with departmental projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business or supply chain, up to 4 years in transportation or logistics, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or supply chain preferred.
• 4 years of experience in transportation or logistics, including rail and truck operations.
• Freight rate analysis, railcar billing, diversion and reshipment processes.
• Strong data sorting, analyzing, and Excel proficiency.
• Up to 5% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Inquire with Class 1 rail carriers for freight rates and provide data for analysis.
• Review and process rail freight requests (FIS) and ensure timely shipment setup.
• Evaluate contract and spot rate proposals to optimize costs for renewals.
• Investigate carrier invoices and monitor accounts to maintain relationships.
• Track and trace rail shipments, resolve delays, and submit service logs.
• Submit and track freight claims with railroads and support rail/fleet team.
