Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field; 3 years hands-on logistics experience.
• Experience with carrier tendering, shipment coordination, and TMS is required.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMSCA requirements, including Hours of Service.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
• Experience with freight/carrier invoices, claims, PODs, and shipment tracking preferred.
• Experience with LTL, truckload, ERP systems, and Excel preferred.
• Food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or temperature-controlled logistics experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsabilités

• Plan and coordinate daily outbound transportation requirements based on shipment needs and customer delivery requirements.
• Tender loads to assigned carriers in a timely manner to support on-time pickup and delivery.
• Monitor carrier tender acceptance and follow up on unaccepted or at-risk shipments.
• Arrange backup carrier coverage when an assigned carrier falls off, aiming for replacement within six hours.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders regarding pickup appointments and schedules.
• Obtain and maintain proof of delivery (POD) documentation.
• Identify and elevate transportation issues affecting delivery, service, or sales.
• Follow up on carrier claims and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Maintain shipment and carrier information in the TMS and other systems.
• Apply DOT and FMCSA requirements, including Hours of Service, to transportation activities.
• Support daily logistics operations, including scheduling and status management.
• Maintain relationships with carriers and transportation providers.
• Identify recurring issues and propose operational improvements.
• Process carrier invoices accurately within 15 days of receipt and resolve discrepancies.
