Job summary

Lifework Search has partnered with a 100+ year-old Consumer Packaged Goods organization to identify a Logistics Analyst in Waltham, MA. This contract role is expected to last 4–6 months and operates in a hybrid model with three days on-site weekly.

The role supports warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment and inventory operations, collaborates with internal teams and external partners to keep orders on track, and analyzes data to identify trends and root causes for improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, or a related supply chain function.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS platforms and operational data.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and inventory operations to ensure accurate and on-time execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams, warehouses, and transportation partners to resolve operational issues and maintain efficient order and shipment flow.
• Monitor logistics, inventory, and order data to identify exceptions and trends, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• Support accurate system transactions, master data, and operating processes, coordinating resolution of transaction or system exceptions as needed.
• Track key logistics performance indicators and contribute to process improvements, projects, documentation, and initiatives that improve operational performance and consistency.

Company Description:

We are currently working with a 100+ year-old Consumer Packaged Goods organization that is in the middle of a supply chain system transformation. To help ensure on-going success, they are looking for a Logistics Analyst to backfill a team member that’s on the project. This is a contract position that will last at least 4-6 months.

Position Description:

• Support day-to-day warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and inventory operations to help ensure accurate and on-time execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams, warehouses, and transportation partners to resolve operational issues and maintain efficient order and shipment flow.
• Monitor logistics, inventory, and order data to identify exceptions and trends, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
• Support accurate system transactions, master data, and operating processes, coordinating resolution of transaction or system exceptions as needed.
• Track key logistics performance indicators and contribute to process improvements, projects, documentation, and initiatives that improve operational performance and consistency.
• Two or more years of experience in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, customer operations, or a related Supply Chain function preferred.
• Working knowledge of logistics and distribution processes, including warehousing, transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment, with experience collaborating across internal teams and external logistics partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage operational priorities, research issues, and drive them through resolution.
• Detail-oriented and results-focused, with the ability to work with urgency, follow established processes, identify exceptions, and consistently follow open issues through resolution.
• Experience working with ERP, TMS, or WMS platforms and operational data; strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
