Job summary

Lifework Search is seeking a Logistics Analyst for a 4-6 month contract in Waltham, MA. This hybrid role requires three days on-site per week to support a large consumer goods supply chain transformation.

You will backfill operations by supporting warehousing, transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment; collaborate with internal teams and external partners; monitor data, identify exceptions, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory, or customer operations.
• Knowledge of logistics processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with urgency and adherence to established processes.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate system transactions, master data, and operating processes, coordinating resolution of transaction or system exceptions as needed.
• Track key logistics performance indicators and contribute to process improvements, projects, documentation, and initiatives that improve operational performance and consistency.

Logistics Analyst (4-6 Month Contract)

Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid / 3 days on-site weekly)

Company Description:

We are currently working with a 100+ year-old Consumer Packaged Goods organization that is in the middle of a supply chain system transformation. To help ensure on-going success, they are looking for a Logistics Analyst to backfill a team member that’s on the project. This is a contract position that will last at least 4-6 months.

Position Description:

• Support day-to-day warehousing, transportation, order fulfillment, and inventory operations to help ensure accurate and on-time execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams, warehouses, and transportation partners to resolve operational issues and maintain efficient order and shipment flow.
• Monitor logistics, inventory, and order data to identify exceptions and trends, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.

Background Required:

• Two or more years of experience in transportation, warehousing, distribution, inventory management, customer operations, or a related Supply Chain function preferred.
• Working knowledge of logistics and distribution processes, including warehousing, transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment, with experience collaborating across internal teams and external logistics partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage operational priorities, research issues, and drive them through resolution.
• Detail-oriented and results-focused, with the ability to work with urgency, follow established processes, identify exceptions, and consistently follow open issues through resolution.
• Experience working with ERP, TMS, or WMS platforms and operational data; strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
