Responsibilities

• Oversee all In Gate/Out Gate operations and ensure efficient flow of inbound and outbound traffic in the distribution center yard.
• Maintain yard inventory and update Yard Management System (YMS).
• Provide professional support to over-the-road drivers and be the go-to contact for yard issues.
• Drive safety focus, conduct 6S audits, and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
• Be mobile on the yard and coordinate between the DC and guard shack; ensure trailers and seals are accurate.

• A Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing all In Gate/Out Gate operations and ensuring the efficient flow of inbound and outbound traffic throughout the distribution center yard.
• The Logistics Lead is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient movement of inbound and outbound traffic within the distribution center yard.
• Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate yard inventory, updating the Yard Management System (YMS), and providing professional support to over-the-road drivers.
• Good communication.
• Willing to be mobile on the Yard and travel between the DC and Guard shack.
• Be the go-to team contact of issues/concerns to take to the Area Lead s /Specialist s.
• Ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Bring up issues and concerns that are happening on the Yard.
• Engaging in conversations with over-the-road drivers.
• Check trailers In/Out and verify seal accuracy.
• Meet and exceed all FTZ and CTPAC requirements.
• Perform 7-point inspection of incoming equipment.
• Verify all outgoing trailers to ensure it matches BOL.
• Good understanding or ability to learn systems including YMS /PkMS/SAP /People Finder .
• Managing all incoming/outgoing parcel.
• Be a representative of the company and exude professionalism.
• Team player within the shift and between the shifts.
• Has good attendance and is accountable.
• Safety focus – Drive to improve safety performance, ensure safety rules/practices and good housekeeping is followed.
• Ensure that all housekeeping and 6S audits are conducted daily. Target 6S rating to exceed 90%.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment and report any safety concerns on the rides.

Experience

• HS/GED required, and 2 or more years of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities; previous leadership experience is an asset.
• Experience in distribution/logistics/warehouse preferred.
• Team oriented, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.
• Good communication both written and verbal.
• Ability to plan work daily and be self-motivated.
• Require flexibility to changing priorities based on shipping and production department needs.
