Job summary

Austal USA in Mobile, AL seeks a Configuration Status Accounting specialist to manage CSA activities for Navy/MSC/USCG contracts. You will develop and maintain the CDMD-OA CSA database, report LSIs, and coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, and Navy/SHShip personnel. Cross-training across ILS disciplines is expected.

Strong communication, MS Office and CDMD-OA proficiency are required; a HS diploma is required with related degrees advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of CSA experience on Navy, MSC or USCG contracts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience interfacing with Supply Chain, Engineering and multiple design teams.
• Computer literate and familiar with CDMD-OA and Microsoft Office products.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required; related degrees advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the CSA database (CDMD-OA) for all configuration worthy items.
• Ensure all LSI data elements are accurately reported in CDMD-OA.
• Interface with OEMs/Suppliers to obtain Vendor Furnished Information as needed.
• Interface with Navy/SUPSHIP personnel on CSA and CDMD-OA related issues.
• Ensure all change order activity impacting CSA is processed, documented and communicated to the ILS Team.
• Willing to cross-train to other ILS areas as necessary.
