The Transportation Supervisor will oversee daily transportation operations, including truck routing, driver coordination, scheduling, and delivery execution. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant transportation operations while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Tuesday – Saturday 1:00am – 11:00am
Key Responsibilities
- Develop daily truck routes and prepare the Daily Driver Schedule based on customer demand, delivery requirements, and available resources
- Coordinate driver staffing and coverage to meet daily workload and operational needs
- Communicate closely with Sales, Operations, Shipping, Office Management, and Yard personnel to coordinate loading, dispatch, and delivery schedules
- Monitor driver attendance, uniforms, logs, documentation, and compliance with company policies and DOT regulations
- Utilize GPS and transportation systems to monitor routes, track deliveries, and support efficient driver management
- Enter customer orders and process invoices using the Unix system
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery schedules, ETAs, delays, and service-related concerns
- Conduct driver audits and review post-route documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Prepare and analyze Route Analysis and Truck Load Analysis to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and utilization
- Monitor daily transportation activity and proactively address scheduling, staffing, routing, and delivery issues
- Identify operational challenges and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, service, and overall transportation performance
- Promote a professional, safety-conscious, and team-oriented work environment
- Ensure transportation activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, DOT requirements, and applicable safety standards
- Perform additional transportation, dispatch, and operational duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous transportation dispatching or routing experience required; East Coast regional experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn and utilize transportation, GPS, order entry, and logistics systems
- Knowledge of DOT rules, regulations, and transportation compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate multiple drivers, routes, deliveries, and changing priorities
- Previous experience working in a union environment preferred
- Commercial or professional driving experience is a plus, including Van, Sprinter, Class B, or Class A experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, customers, and cross-functional teams
