Job summary

Weyerhaeuser’s St. Helens Tree Farm operation in Castle Rock, WA is seeking a Log Loader Operator to safely load logs and maximize daily loads in a union environment.

You will perform equipment inspections, participate in preventative maintenance, and use Loader Wiz and TLI apps, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork to meet production goals. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years of shovel-based loader experience, demonstrating reliable communication

  • Perform equipment inspections and participate in preventative maintenance.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser’s St. Helens Tree Farm operation, based out of Castle Rock, WA has an opening for a Log Loader Operator. We are seeking individuals who desire to work safely in a market-focused logging environment. This is a union position. The workforce is represented by the International Association of Machinists (IAM). The pay rate is $37.23 per hour. Paid holidays, vacation, health and welfare, and 401k benefits are provided, as defined by the collective bargaining agreement. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check are required.Key Functions:Safely and competently operate the log loader while adhering to safety, environmental, production, and quality standardsExpected to make daily adjustments to maximize logging system output as dictated by business needs (weather, labor, truck availability, etc.)Fulfill loader responsibilities and record keeping including the ability to load logs to the required standards, quickly and effectively react to sorting changes, and fully utilize trucks through dispatch to maximize the number of loads per truck per dayPerform and assist on equipment inspections and participate in preventative maintenance procedures and routine maintenance repairs as they developOperate Loader Wiz, TLI apps, and become efficient with new and required technology developments/implementationsQualificationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Two years of experience operating a shovel based Log loader.Demonstrated commitment and ability to work safely in both an individual and team environment.Must have excellent listening and communication skills; ability to demonstrate open, honest, and regular exchange of information, and treat all employees with respect and dignity.About WeyerhaeuserWe sustainably manage forests and manufacture products that make the world a better place.
