Location: Historic Washington State Park, Washington, AR
This position assists in the operation of William’s Tavern Restaurant. Job duties include assisting with meal planning, cooking menu items, taking inventory, ordering food and non-food supplies, training new employees, and maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe food preparation area. Applicant will be required to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants must meet or exceed these qualifications: the educational equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one year experience in restaurant or institutional cooking or related field. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the Qualifications Review Committee.

Salary Range: $26,034.00 - $37,749.00
The Lodge Cook is responsible for inspecting and preparing food supplies for public consumption, employee training and supervision, inventory and cost control measures, and maintaining and cleaning equipment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Knowledge of appropriate use and sanitation of food service equipment, facilities and materials. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, laws, regulations, or standards governing food preparation and storage. Ability to train employees in a multitude of job tasks related to food service or kitchen sanitation. Ability to clean and maintain a variety of food preparation appliances and tools. Ability to manage time, materials, and food service workers in a commercial kitchen.
The educational equivalent of a high school diploma, plus one year experience in restaurant or institutional cooking or related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
