Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon for a locums role at a Level II Trauma Center in San Jose, CA. The program handles about 600 annual orthopedic trauma cases in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary setting.

Inpatient surgical care and outpatient follow-up are required; CA license or eligibility is needed. Travel, tail insurance, and a per-shift compensation of $4500 are provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree in medicine.
• Completion of an Orthopedic Surgery Residency.
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma is required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Active California medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provides surgical care for orthopedic trauma patients.
• Performs orthopedic trauma consultations and surgical interventions.
• Participates in inpatient rounding and postoperative care.
• Provides outpatient orthopedic trauma follow-up.
• Collaborates with trauma, emergency medicine and other surgical teams.
• Participates in quality improvement and program development.
