Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks a physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Maine, covering both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will perform GI endoscopy, liver biopsy, and related procedures, with a 1/8 on-call ratio and a 30-minute response time.

Expect 8–12 patients seen per 24-hour period, with hospital privileges required. Travel and housing are pre-paid, and malpractice insurance is provided. A Weatherby consultant is available 24/7 for support.

Qualifications

• Hospital privileges required.
• Upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy required.
• PEG, esophageal dilatation, banding, and push enteroscopy required.
• Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management required.
• Call coverage with 1/8 ratio and 30-minute response time.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing assignment in outpatient and inpatient practice setting.
• See 8–12 patients per 24-hour period and 12 patients per shift.
• Coordinate care with on-site team and manage acute cases.
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal.
