Job description

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dynamic team in a busy emergency department in Springfield, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment delivering critical care to a diverse patient population.

Position Overview:

• Shift Options:
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
• 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Emergency Department Size: 44 beds
• Setting: Hospital-based emergency department

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in the emergency department under the supervision of emergency medicine physicians.
• Perform procedures appropriate to scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Accurately document patient encounters using the hospital’s EMR.

Requirements:

• Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant License.
• Board Certified.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior emergency medicine experience preferred.
