Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join a busy community ED in Orlando, Florida. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI/Heart Center, 11 private beds, and a dedicated pediatric room.

Expect collaboration with an experienced EMS and hospitalist team. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat a wide range of emergent conditions, stabilize critically ill patients, perform EM procedures,

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine with ABEM/AOBEM preference.
• Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Active or eligible Florida medical license.
• DEA registration required.
• Experience in trauma, stroke, STEMI/Heart Center common in EDs.
• Ability to collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with emergent/urgent conditions.
• Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients.
• Perform emergency procedures within EM scope.
• Manage trauma, medical, and pediatric emergencies.
• Coordinate care with specialists and inpatient teams for smooth handoffs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced setting.

We areseeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a busycommunity emergency department in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellentopportunity to practice in a modern, well-supported emergency department withaccess to comprehensive specialty services.

PositionHighlights

• Approximately 30 patients per day
• Patients requiring admission aretransferred to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists,hospitalists, and specialists
• Collaborative emergency medicineteam

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treatpatients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medicalconditions.
• Stabilize and manage criticallyill and injured patients.
• Perform emergency procedureswithin the scope of emergency medicine practice.
• Manage trauma, medical, andpediatric emergencies.
• Coordinate care with specialistsand inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
• Maintain accurate and timelydocumentation in the electronic medical record.
• Deliver high-quality,evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in FamilyMedicine with a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience and/orcompletion of an Emergency Medicine Fellowship will also be considered
